Asia is leading the pack in the global online shopping scene, bringing in about $1.97 trillion in 2024. That's 47.90% of the world's total e-commerce revenue
The Americas come in second, with $1.44 trillion, which is 34.86% of the global e-commerce earnings for 2024
Europe is next, expecting to make $632.7 billion from online retail, which is about 15.37% of the global share.
Australia & Oceania are projected to earn $42.7 billion in 2024, which is 1.04% of the global e-commerce revenue, showing that their market is smaller compared to other regions.
Africa has the smallest slice of the e-commerce pie in 2024, with an estimated $34.6 billion, making up just 0.84% of the global total.
Together, Asia and the Americas are responsible for over 80% of the world's online shopping revenue in 2024
There's a big gap between Asia and the Americas in terms of e-commerce revenue, with Asia making $537 billion more than the Americas in 2024.
