Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Kameleo browser?

Kameleo is an anti-detect browser platform designed for browser automation. Its ease of use and integration capabilities, especially through its Local API, make it a powerful tool for users looking to automate their web browsing tasks efficiently.

Developed to aid in maintaining privacy and security online, Kameleo offers solutions that prevent web tracking and fingerprinting, allowing users to navigate the web anonymously.

How does Kameleo prevent web tracking?

Kameleo employs advanced technology to prevent web tracking by masking or altering web browser fingerprints.

Web browser fingerprinting involves collecting information about a user's browser and device settings, which can be used to track and identify individuals online. Kameleo offers tools and features that allow users to change or hide their browser fingerprints, thereby avoiding detection and tracking by websites.

This ensures a higher level of privacy and security while navigating the internet, as it makes it more difficult for advertisers, companies, and potentially malicious entities to track users' online activities.

Can Kameleo integrate with other automation tools?

Yes, Kameleo can utilize automation tools. It is designed to enable users to automate their web activities without limitations.

By leveraging Kameleo for automation, users can effectively bypass common web restrictions and perform tasks such as web scraping and automated testing more efficiently.

Why do you need an anti-detect browser?

Using an anti-detect browser is useful for anyone whose job involves managing multiple online accounts, as it significantly reduces the risk of these accounts being blocked or banned.

Traditional browsers can leave unique digital fingerprints, making it easy for websites to track and link multiple accounts to the same user, leading to possible restrictions or bans.

An anti-detect browser prevents this by allowing each account to operate under a distinct digital fingerprint.

These browsers also improve online security by protecting your privacy and personal data from trackers.

Why use SOAX with Kameleo?

There are a couple of reasons why SOAX  proxies are ideal for Kameleo:

  • You can access proxies in a wide range of locations (195 countries)
  • Choose between different protocols, such as HTTP(S) or SOCKS5
  • 99.95% uptime for stability
  • Sticky Sessions
  • And more. Check out the proxy page for more information

What types of proxies does SOAX offer?

SOAX offers different kinds of proxy types:

  • Residential proxies. These proxies assign you an IP that is associated with an actual device in a home. Great if you want to access geo-blocked content.
  • Mobile proxies. These proxies use IP addresses assigned to mobile devices by their mobile network operators. Great for anonymity.
  • ISP proxies. ISP proxies are a blend between residential and datacenter proxies. They are hosted in data centers but are registered with real ISPs, combining the speed of datacenter proxies with the legitimacy of residential proxies. Note that we only have ISP proxies in the US, and excluding the state of Texas.
  • Datacenter proxies. These proxies are provided by servers housed in data centers, using IP addresses that belong to the datacenter's subnet. Great for situations where speed is of the essence.

How do I whitelist my IP in SOAX?

To whitelist your IP follow this guide on how to add your IP to your whitelist in the SOAX dashboard
